Easy Street Announces Partnership with Cometto - January 2015

Easy Street JD&S, LLC (Easy Street), one of the U.S.’s premier providers of material handling equipment and a vendor to the United States government, announces a partnership with Industrie Cometto, S.p.A. (Cometto), an Italian-based manufacturer of heavy equipment transporters. Easy Street has agreed to represent Cometto in the sale or distribution of its Electric Modular Transporter (EMT), exclusively in the U.S. Defense sector.  The EMT is a modular unit equipped with features to optimize heavy load displacement and designed to transport indivisible loads.

Since 1954, Cometto has been producing trailers, semi-trailers, and self-propelled vehicles. Among the company’s proudest achievements are the Orbiter Transportation System built for NASA in 1983 and the first and the biggest self-propelled modular system ever built (3.000 t.), manufactured for Nippon Express in 1981. Building on those successes, Cometto was awarded the job of moving the entire 1990 European space project Ariane 5.

Easy Street is a woman-owned, family-operated small business located in Carol Stream, IL. On November 7, 2013, the company was awarded a competitively won, five-year contract with the Defense Logistics Agency’s Troop Support Construction and Equipment Supply Chain.  This contract provides Easy Street and Cometto the opportunity to partner together to provide innovation forklifts and Electric Modular Transporters (EMTs)—offering state-of the art response to U.S. Defense material handling/moving needs.

Easy Street JD&S exhibits at AUSA 2014

Held every October in Washington, D.C., the AUSA Annual Meeting is the largest landpower exposition and professional development forum in North America. The Annual Meeting consists of informative presentations, panel discussions on pertinent military and national security subjects, workshops and important AUSA business meetings.

Easy Street JD&S is proud to attend this year, exhibiting at booth 2652 in the Small Business Pavilion. We will be showing our line of material handling equipment perfect for Army use; most specifically, the Combi-RT, the AisleMaster, and our new laser guide system.

We invite you to visit us and learn more about these forklifts. For warehousing applications, these units stand up to the quick start and fast pace of deployment and fit in narrow aisles if space is an issue. Of course, we excel in open fields as well, using our rough terrain forklift offering for moving materials in the midst of confrontation or to help in rebuilding.

Since 1950, the Association of the United States Army has worked to support all aspects of national security while advancing the interests of America’s Army and the men and women who serve.

AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization that supports America’s Army – Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees, Government Civilians, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and family members. AUSA provides numerous Professional Development Opportunities at a variety of events both local and national.
